Xiaomi Mi 6 Review -Guaranteed performance beast in 2 variants

Wednesday, 19 April, Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi Mi 6 at the Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium, China. The China-based smartphone Company has already posted the teaser for its upcoming smartphone Mi 6 on Twitter, in which they presented the phone as “guaranteed performance beast”. Xiaomi gave a slogan “You waited for 203 days, we waited for seven years” to this phone. There was a rumor that press renders has been leaked just a few hours ahead of unveiling.

Some Chinese reports suggest the Mi 6 has been launched in three variants, while others press renders suggest Xiaomi has launched only two versions of its upcoming smartphone.

So, what all do we know about Mi 6 until now? Let us have a look:

Design and Display

The Xiaomi Mi 6 has a premium metal unibody design. In looks, it is quite similar to previous model Mi note 4. There is 5.10-inch display and will be 2.5D glass coating on top of the screen. The power and volume buttons on the right edge. If we look at the leaked Sketches leaks on Weibo reiterate there will be dual camera setup that has already been confirmed by Xiaomi, thin bezels in the front, and chamfered edges at the back.There are dual speakers mounted at the bottom which is quite loud but it distorts at high volumes. At the bottom edge, a USB Type-C port is also visible.

Camera

Further, there have been lots of controversy regarding leak information about MI 6’s camera. The Report says the basic variant of Mi 6 is said to have 8MP rear camera that have features of shooting super slow motion videos.Back camera will be 12MP.

If we think of leaked reports, then Xiaomi has launched two different boxes, one is “Mi 6” and second is “Mi 6 Pro”. Xiaomi has created a very creative teaser and through the teaser company is giving a message that the smartphone could even feature a dual rear camera setup and emphasized is’ on ‘666. By 666 people are assuming Mi 6 will have a dual rear camera and 6GB RAM.

Processor

Coming to the processor, Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to pack a Snapdragon 835 processor. There is a rumor in the market that there will be installed Helio X30 in the basic variant but a GFXBench listing reveals a Qualcomm Adreno 540 GPU for Mi 6. According to a Weibo user named BaymaxPhone, there will be a 4GB RAM version of the phone with 64GB/128GB internal storage. Xiaomi could introduce a 6GB RAM option with 64GB/128GB storage for Mi 6 Pro. Further, a 256GB storage variant for the smartphone is also expected. The new Mi 6 will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

Price

In terms of pricing, the 4GB RAM+64GB storage option of Mi 6 could be priced at 2,199 Yuan ($318) and the 128GB storage version at 2,599 Yuan ($376). Xiaomi Mi 6 Pro (6GB RAM) is expected to come across SKUs, with the 64GB storage version priced at 2,599 Yuan ($390), the 128GB storage version at 3,099 Yuan ($448) and the 256GB storage version at 3,699 Yuan ($535).
