Indian army gunned down two terrorists who were trying to enter the Indian territory at the line of control in north Kashmir’s Naugam sector. Two soldiers were martyred while fighting the terrorists. The army operation was still underway.

3. DELHI UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES ADMISSION SCHEDULE
Delhi University has announced the admission schedule for undergraduate courses for the session 2017-18. The first cut off will be released on 20th of June. The registration process will start on 22nd of May and will close on June 12. The last day of admission process will be on July 16.

Hurriyat suspended the membership of leader Naeem Khan days after India Today exposed him in a sting operation in which the leader admitted that he had received funds from Pakistan in order to create unrest in the Kasmir valley. However, Naeem Khan claims that the sting was fake.

Sartaj Aziz, foreign minister of Pakistan said that Pakistan did not lose to India in Kulbhushan Jadhav case at the ICJ (International Court of Justice). He said that ICJ did not order consular access to Jadhav. He further said that Pakistan will go full strength in the next hearing regarding the case.

Uttar Pradesh Sessions court freed Gulzar Ahmed Wani, who is a former scholar in Aligarh Muslim University after 16 years of Sabarmati blast due to lack of evidence. Delhi police had arrested Wani in 2001 allegedly with explosives and incriminating materials. He was accused of blasting the Sabarmati express.
13. 14000 PILGRIMS STUCK IN UTTARAKHAND DUE TO LANDSLIDE
About 14000 people were stuck in various places in Uttarakhand after a massive landslide hit the Rishikesh – Badrinath highway on Friday. The landslide occurred in Hathi Parvat near Vishnuprayag, 9-kilometres from Joshimath, left 60 metres of the national highway damaged but there were no reports of injury to pilgrims.

A 23-year-old woman chopped off the genitals of a man when he allegedly tried to rape her at her residence in Pettah on Friday night.The accused, a 54-year-old man is an inmate of an ashram in Kollam. He was rushed to the government medical college hospital in Thiruvananthapuram with critical injuries police said on Saturday. The woman told that the man had been sexually harassing her since she was a minor.
